Born on 6 March 1938, he was the son of Albert Raus, V Duke of Rausenbach and Clara Sofia Frey. He succeeded his father, as head of the house, in 1989. Since the constitution of the Foundation he has been part of it, as patron, occupying the honorary presidency. He is succeeded by his son, Daniel Artur Raus, as head of the house of Rausenbach.
